Our Core Values

We will love God with all our heart, soul, and strength.

God’s Love

He has unconditional love for all of us and shows it fully in the gift of Jesus Christ. We are defined by the way God sees us. We are highly valued!

Our Love

We will be inclusive and supportive to every student that walks into the doors. We will be a community that serves one another and the world around us.

Fun!

Youth ministry and fun go hand in hand. It should be an absolute joy to be part of this youth ministry. Shared experiences and playing together builds community.

Innovation

We will always be looking for ideas, strategies, and opportunities to make for a vibrant community that is falling deeper in love with Jesus. Not every idea will work, and that is okay!

How We Gonna Do It

SPY students will know God loves them,
and will know how God loves them.

Sunday Morning

Environment is everything, but has nothing to do with paint and carpet.

Wednesday Evening

The culture of hospitality will make the room feel safe, inviting, and energetic.

Camps

We are committed to making experiences that are driven by engaging curriculum coupled with adventurous fun. We have 2 summer camps: Numinous for 8th-12th graders & Evergreen for 4th-8th graders.

Map Making

Families will be strongly encouraged to set spiritual goals for themselves and develop maps to guide them to reach those goals.

Training

We maintain semi-annual trainings for both student and adult leadership.

Service

South Plains Youth will be intentional about the ways we serve the Lubbock community.

Missions

Mission trips are incredible moments where students can expand their view of life in the world.

Other Activities

Other activities will be filtered through how they fit our core values and lead to achieving our goals.
